Even though we work primarily behind the scenes, preparing and delivering thousands of fresh, nutritious meals every day to homebound Atlantans suffering from critical or chronic illnesses, we have some very compelling stories to tell.

DINING OUT FOR LIFE 2010 TO BENEFIT OPEN HAND
ATLANTA - Dining Out for Life to benefit Open Hand, presented by AutoTrader.com, is the organization's largest annual fundraiser. Simply dine out for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner April 21 at many of Atlanta's best restaurants and help Open Hand continue to provide Comprehensive Nutrition Care™ which includes medically-appropriate meals and nutrition education to seniors and individuals living with diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, HIV/AIDS and cancer.
Approximately 150 restaurants will participate in Open Hand's 18th annual Dining Out for Life event and donate a minimum of 20 percent of sales on April 21 to Open Hand.

Open Hand, which recently commemorated its 22nd year of service to the community, has grown to become the nation’s largest provider of home-delivered meals – preparing, packing and delivering more than 5,000 meals daily across 17 Georgia counties.
